Mallow Juvenile GAA Club News

Mallow Juvenile GAA Club sponsored by Dano’s SuperValu, Bellevue.  Our thanks to Paul and his team for their continued support.  Shop local, support local!

Minor Hurling Championship has been fixed for Saturday coming in Kilbarry.  This is a first round clash against an historically strong Midleton team so please come along and support the lads if you can.  Midleton v Mallow Kilbarry 26-April 3:00pm.  Anyone who isn’t familiar with the Kilbarry pitch, the easiest way is to head in as far as the grotto in Blackpool leaving the shopping centre behind on your right.  Take a left at the grotto and continue straight, the pitch is sign posted approximately 1km further along on your left.  Failing that ring Sean Dillon and he’ll give you directions!!   Magh Ealla Abú!

Our Easter Camp is now on it’s third and final day with a good attendance.  Great fun is being had each day.  Thanks to Wayne O Donnell and his band of merry men & women for coaching. The Health Behaviours in School Children (HBSC, 2006) survey revealed that over half of primary school age children did not achieve the recommended level of physical activity. By 15 years of age, almost nine out of 10 girls and seven out of 10 boys don’t achieve the recommended level.  These camps are ideal for ensuring that your children are working towards a healthier lifestyle while also having fun.The GAA is an inclusive association and all are welcome.  If you would like your child to get involved contact our secretary Marie, her email issecretarybng.mallow.cork@gaa.ie and she can direct you the right coach for your child.
