Club notes..

Cork Minors through to first Munster Final since 2008..
After two riveting games against Tipperary, the Cork Minor Hurlers emerged victorious last Monday night in the replay to book a place in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship final in Thurles next Sunday. Like the Senior panel the Minors will meet Clare and their game will kick off proceedings next Sunday. It’s sure to be a great day and of course the club has the added distinction of having representation on both the Senior and Minor panels. Namely Cormac Murphy, Ronan Sheehan and Fergus Ryan. We wish them all the very, very best of luck. The throw in for the Minor Hurling final is at 2pm with the Senior game at 4pm. Hope to see you all at Tom Semple’s field…

Intermediate Football and Hurling..
Our Intermediate Footballers who are training away at the moment preparing for their Round 2A game V Ballingeary had a good run out against St Finbarrs, last Saturday evening in the club, in a challenge game.. Following the Cork Senior Footballers exit to the qualifiers which is due to be played on July 22nd its still up in the air whether the Premier Intermediate Football Championship will still go ahead on the weekend of the 15th July, we’ll keep you posted. This Friday they take on Douglas, in another challenge game, away at 730pm and support would be appreciated.
Our Intermediate Hurlers who are also currently working very hard learnt of their Quarter final fate after last Tuesday night’s draw. They will meet the winners of Blarney and Valley Rovers, which will probably go ahead around the middle of August.

It’s the turn of our Junior Hurlers this evening and they face Ballyhea at home. After a number of teams have conceded to Mallow over the last few weeks this game will decide who will come first and second in the Division 2 League. Throw in is at 730pm in Carrigoon, hope to see you there.
