Mallow Crowned U-21 A Hurling North Cork Champions after a spirited display, defeating Fermoy on a scoreline of Mallow 2-21 Fermoy 0-11. They now progress to the County section meeting East Cork divisional winners Fr. O’Neills. The game is fixed for 23rd September but as of yet a venue has not been confirmed.

The Mallow Camogie ladies had a huge win over Barryroe last Sunday morning in a highly entertaining County Semi Final tie. Though Mallow were only ahead by the narrowest of margins at the short whistle they really showed their class in the second half through a sublime display by Michelle Browne who had a personal tally of 2-8 out of a final score of 2-13 over the sixty minutes. However there were many fine performances on the day and this was a real united team performance with stars like Kathleen O’Brien, Aoife O’Rourke, Miriam Byrne and Coakley sisters Kathryn and Emma all showing their experience. This fine Mallow team finished, by far, the stronger and have sent out a message to Sarsfields Camogie club whom they meet in the Senior B County final. The club would like to wish the girls and their mentors/backroom team the very best of luck in the final..

The eagerly awaited Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship County Quarter final between Mallow and Newcestown is now only days away and has now been fixed for the earlier time of 615pm in Pairc Ui Rinn, Saturday 12th September. We hope all club members will don the red and yellow and come and support our lads on Saturday. Best of luck to all players and mentors, Maghealla ABU!
