Fe 13 Hurling Mallow Fe 13 Hurlers had a very tough assignment away to Blarney in our opening game in the Premier 1 Hurling league last Monday night. We started well with 2 early points but were then hit with three sucker punches from Blarney. Lesser teams would have collapsed but the character in this team shone through. Both teams traded points for the remainder of the match but again Mallow were hit by two soft goals in injury time. So Blarney ran out winners on a score line of Blarney 5-10 Mallow 0-10. The score in no way reflects the superb effort put in by the Mallow team. The Fe 13 Hurlers are out again this Wednesday 9th April at home to Ballygarvan at 7.pm.Mallow Abu.
Feile Q/F Mallow vs Glanmire April 2nd in Macroom
Glanmire 2 4 Mallow 0 1
We went into this game with 50/50 chance but this didn’t work out for us we start well and held our own but Glanmire got an early goal and a point from a free. We were still in it at half time but we wasted good chances in front of goal which Glanmire didn’t they took their chances and pushed on with scores. We got a point with 5 minute to go and pushed hard towards the end and got our score from Andrew o Callagahan. The score does not do justice to the effort the lads put into this game but with 15 minute halves in this competition you have to take your chances. We were beaten by Glanmire who are now in the final against Nemo Rangers.
We would like to thank the parent who travelled to Macroom and to the club for all the help .
Fe15 Peil P2 County Final 2013 It was bad news for the Under 15 footballers who fell at the last hurdle in their quest for County silverware. They played Mitchelstown in Glanworth on a miserable rainy Saturday evening. The going was heavy underfoot which did not suit the nimble Mallow players who were forced to play some ugly football in a bid to gain the upper hand. While we had flashes of brilliance in spells, it was a dogged physical game in which the sublime skill and pace of the Mallow players did not stand a chance. You did your best lads and the club is very proud of you. We have no doubt there’s more to come from this team.
Feile na nGael take place this weekend in Mallow. This is a Fe14 hurling competition. The lads would appreciate some support on the day so if you can come along and give them some encouragement. Our near neighbours Kilshanning are also in the group so it’s sure to be a cracker. Good luck lads!!

Last night saw Mallow players including current Mallow minors Sean Hayes and Alec Luttrell involved in Cork teams so hopefully this morning will see us on the right side of the scoreline. Sean is named on the starting fifteen for the Minor hurlers while Alec is named in the squad. Alec had been sidelined recently due to injury but is now fighting fit. No doubt we’ll be seeing you in that Cork jersey soon Alec.
