CLCG MaghEalla

A continued thanks to our Football and Hurling sponsors Maureen’s Pub, Mallow and O’Connell’s Ford Mallow.

Last Saturday was a very disappointing result!! I hope our Footballers will raise us up a bit this week.. The final score was Mallow 2-9 Watergrashill 3-15..

This week we are hoping our Premier Intermediate Footballers will do the business and restore a bit of spirit back into the club after last week. They take on Ballingeary this Sunday in Carrigadrohid( Canovee) which is T.J Lyons Shoes Country!! Throw in is at 5pm and we really hope you come to support, our club needs you!! Because of a clash of Jerseys we will be back in the yellow Jersey’s!!

The Eugene Carey U-17 development Inter-County Hurling tournament has now been finalised for Saturday August 31st with over 9 Counties involved in this years games.. Alec Luttrell and Sean Hayes will represent the club for Cork and let it be said not for the first time… As always it’s an honour to host and a fantastic day out for the club.. So dust off your white jackets as Umpires, linesmen and stewards will be needed on the day..
Our U-14 Hurlers are out in Championship this Saturday 24th August against Eire Og at 330pm in Blarney. Please support!

We will be up and live again for the game on Sunday after having our own hawk eye type technical fault at half time last Saturday. Don’t forget the link
https://clubapplive.com/Mallowgaa . Of course nothing beats being there!!

We are doing a clean up in the Club in Carrigoon on Saturday tomorrow morning at 11am. It’s hoped as many as possible come to help.

The Club really hope Mallow town and beyond get behind the Cork hurlers for the next couple of weeks on the path to the final. Lets get a bit of community spirit going again and what better way than to get our local business’s and premises to show the red and white.. Katie’s Newsagents will be stocking flags for your  pubs, shops, Taxi’s and it would be great to witness a sea of red and white in town over the coming fortnight.. We also hope the council would help out too and brighten up the town we love so well….
