U14 HURLERS GOOD RUN CONTINUES

PREMIER 2 LEAGUE MALLOW 4-9 ERINS OWN 2-3
OUR U14 HURLERS HAD THEIR 3RD WIN IN A ROW WHEN THEY OVER CAME ERINS OWN IN BLUSTERY CONDITIONS IN CARRIGOON ON SATURDAY LAST.PLAYING WITH THE STRONG WIND MALLOW HURLED WITH CONFIDENCE AND LED AT HALF TIME 3-7 TO NO SCORE .THE GOALS BEING SCORED BY DANNY BUCKLEY EOIN BUCKLEY AND TIMMY MAC NAMARA.ERINS OWN CAME MORE INTO THE GAME IN THE SECOND HALF BUT A FURTHER GOAL BY STEVEN DUFFY LEFT MALLOW COMFORTABLE WINNERS.THE  TEAM WILL NOW TURN TO FOOTBALL OVER THE COMING WEEKS WITH 3 GAMES TO BE PLAYED.TEAM DAITHI HEFFERNAN RONAN SHEEHAN BEN SLATTERY EOIN KENNY OISIN MOYNIHAN MATT MC GLYNN EOIN O LEARY EOIN MURPHY[O-3]KENNETH MILLS TOM DUIGNAN[0-1]DANNY BUCKLEY[1-3]CIARAN MURPHY[0-1]TIM MC NAMARA[1-1]EOIN BUCKLEY[1-0]STEVEN DUFFY[1-0] SUBS SEAN WOULFE CONOR O SULLIVAN

AVONDHU/DUHALLOW U14 HURLING
BEST OF LUCK TO EOIN MURPHY MATT MC GLYNN DANNY BUCKLEY AND BEN SLATTERY 4 MALLOW PLAYERS WHO WILL BE TRAVELLING TO BANSHA NEXT SUNDAY EVENING 28th April  TO FACE WEST TIPPERARY IN THE U14 DIVISIONAL COMPETITION

U12 Hurling – On Monday evening last our U12 Hurlers played Midleton in the latest round of the league. 24 Players were in attendance and all got a run during each of the two matches played.

Training – U7, U8, U9, U10 will be training on Mondays and Thursdays with Hurling training on Mondays and Football training on Thursdays, all outdoors from 6.30-7.30pm. Don’t forget your mouth guards for football training.

U 11 Football BLITZ – Last Saturday our U11 Footballers took part in the qualifying round of the John Keirns Memorial Tournament. All players played well on the day. Other teams that took part included St Nicks, Glanmire and Eire Og.

U11 Football / Hurling Training Schedule FOOTBALLERS will train on Mondays from 7-8pm on Pitch 2 and HURLING TRAINING will be Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm on Pitch 2.

Registration – A Reminder to all those still to register please contact your relevant coach who will organise forms. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED BY May 31st 2013.

MOUTHGUARDS – As the season is now kicked off all Players and parents please note the following; Following the GAA’s Annual Congress in April 2012 a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013  for all age grades up to U18.

First Aid – The club are currently looking  for First Aid assistants for all teams, if there is anyone who would be interested in helping with same please contact one of the committee.

Congratulations – Mallow Juvenile GAA Club want to congratulate two of our players Killian O Connor and Ryan Harkin who played last week in the Munster Football championship against Kerry. The game ended in a draw and reply is fixed for this Friday 26th in Tralee.
