Feile – Our under 14 hurlers took part in the 2013 Feile which was held in carrigoon on Saturday last.Drawn in Group 4 with Midleton Ballincollig and watergrasshill hopes were high that we would qualify for the quarter Finals to be played next weekend.Alot depended on our first game against Ballincollig but unfortunately things never went right for us and we were defeated by 9 points .The second game was against group favorites Midleton and we hit the ground running ,despite the physical difference between the sides it was Mallow who led by 1 point with time almost up .Two injury time points left us shattered put proud of the effort the players put in ,the final score was Midleton 2-7 Mallow 2-6.In our final game with Watergrasshill we were well on top to run out winners 3-7 to 0-4.In the last Midleton ran out easy winners over Ballincollig to leave them group winners. The standard of Hurling in all nine matches was excellent and the games were run on time .

Premier 2  U14 Hurling League

Mallow 5-14

Following on from our good showing in the feile confidence was high that we could get a result against our near neighbour’s Kilshannig on Tuesday night. Mallow won the toss and elected to play with the strong wind and a led at the short whistle on a score of 1-8 to 0-1.The second half was expected to be closer but mallow hurled very well to run out convincing winners .We had 20 players togged out with everyone getting a run..Team and Scorers DAITHI HEFFERNAN RONAN SHEEHAN BEN SLATTERY OISIN MOYNIHAN MATTHEW MC GLYNN EOIN MURPHY[1-8]EOIN O LEARY CIARAN MURPHY[0-1]KENNETH MILLS TOM DUIGNAN[1-0]DANNY BUCKLEY[2-4]TREVOR DOYLE [0-1]EOIN BUCKLEY TADGH O NEILL [1-0]EOIN BUCKLEY SUBS SEAN WOULFE [1-0]TIMMY MC NAMARA EOIN KENNY STEVEN DUFFY CONOR O SULLIVAN
