The GAA All-Ireland Championship season is in full swing and match day madness hits the GAA Museum in Croke Park this weekend with a whole host of special museum activities. If you are heading to Croke Park this weekend to support your team in its bid for All-Ireland glory, why not include a visit to the recently-refurbished GAA Museum located under the Cusack Stand? The museum will be open to match patrons from 12.30 – 16.00 this Sunday.

There is something for GAA supporters of all ages in the GAA Museum, home to the original Sam Maguire Cup and a new temporary exhibition on the history and development of the GAA overseas – GAA, A Global Phenomenon.  In the museum’s activity room – Cú Chulainn’s Den – younger fans can make match headbands or match mascots in county colours.  For those fans feeling a little more competitive and energetic, there is the opportunity to test your hurling skills in the museum’s specially-designed Interactive Games Area.

There is a special discount admission rate for a museum visit on match days, with adult admission only €4.00 and family admission only €12.50.  Plus – new for 2012! – two children go free with every adult ticket purchased!
