Club cleanup..Thanks to everyone who turned up to our first Summer club clean up last Tuesday night. It was great to get started on some much needed running repairs around the club tidying up flower beds and grass verging around the complex along with some grass cutting, strimming and spraying.. We will let everyone know when our next night is, incase you missed the last one.. Thanks again..Complex busy, busy, busy..With the Communion and Confirmation season now in full swing we were delighted to welcome over 300 little boys and girls to the club last weekend to celebrate their special day with us. Next Saturday again over 300 will be joining us over the day and they will be joined by over 400 boys on our pitches who are coming for an U-14 Hurling Inter-Country tournament also on Saturday. It’s great to see the club such a hive of activity and huge praise must go to Liz and her wonderful staff who all work so hard…Mallow GAA Eugene Carey memorial golf classic…
We are now just over a month away from the Mallow GAA Eugene Carey Memorial Golf Classic which has been confirmed for Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd June next. Places are booking up extremely fast in this very popular golf classic so don’t hesitate to book your slots now. Teams of 3 is €150 which includes a post game meal or If you wish you could also kindly sponsor a tee box/ green for just €50. Aaron Sheehan who made his Christy Ring Cup debut last Saturday for London scoring 0-10.. London defeated Derry 1-20 to 1-18.. Well done Aaron!!
The boys of ‘99.. The All Ireland Hurling Champions of 1999, including our own Fergal McCormack, donned the blood and bandage last Saturday again to play Whitechurch to mark the opening of their new fantastic grounds.. Some of those lads would still give some of the current players a run for their money!!!!! Best of luck to all in Whitechurch…
