Mallow Hurlers reach Semi final stages…
Mallow’s Intermediate hurlers have reached the Cork County Premier Intermediate Championship Semi Final, for the third year running, seeing off the challenge of Innishannon side Valley rovers, in Pairc Ui Rinn last Saturday. Mallow were well in control in the first half going in 0-11 to 0-5 at the short break. However Valley Rovers staged a huge comeback in the second half and the game ended up a dog fight to the end. It finished Mallow 0-21 Valley Rovers 0-17. Our Hurlers will now face Cloyne in the County Semi final which is down for September 16th at 530pm in Pairc Ui Rinn as part of a double header. County Premier Intermediate Football Championship Quarter final..
Our Footballers are hoping to join the Hurlers at the Semi final stages of the County competition when they take on Ballingeary next Saturday in Coachford. Reports back from the Football dressing room are very positive with only some minor injury niggles to iron out during the week.
At this stage Mallow and Ballingeary are no strangers to each other and next Saturdays competition is sure to be electric when they meet head to head.. Its a 5pm throw in and we hope you will all be there to support the lads… Maghealla ABU..
