Sean Ryan to receive Mallow Sports and Leisure awards Hall of fame 2017..
We were delighted to receive the news that our esteemed Club treasurer Sean Ryan will receive this years Mallow Sports and Leisure awards Hall of fame on March 4th at Springfort Hall.. Sean is a dearly loved lifelong member of Mallow GAA and has served the club selflessly for decades both as our current Treasurer, he was involved for years in the training of Hurling teams at Juvenile, U-21 and Junior. He also has served as a member of our management committee for years and has been part of the Mallow GAA family all his life in Mallow. Aside from our club he was also one of original founders of Mallow Chamber, he was Director of Avondhu Blackwater partnership, current treasurer of CDYS, a past member of the Patrician Academy board of management, a volunteer at the Citizens Information centre, a former member of Mallow development partnership
(MDP), a former Co-ordinator of Cork Simon Community annual church gate collection (Mallow), a former member and president of Mallow Rotary Club and was the man responsible for organising and fundraising for the original Christmas lights in town. Of course involved in so much more but it goes to show the type of selfless, hard working pioneering and devoted members of our community he is and we are sure we speak for all involved in that we celebrate in the recognition this award brings to all of Sean’s hard work for the greater good!
