Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
Following a very impressive win for our U21 Hurlers last Sunday over Bally Rovers(Ballyhea/Ballyclough) 3-20 to 1-12, our Intermediate Hurlers face Watergrasshill this Saturday 15th at 7pm in Killavullen. We would like to wish the management of Joe Buckley, Dermot O’Riordan, Barney O’Connor, John Foley, Ray Cosgrove and John O’Connell all the very best for Saturday and hope everyone will be out in force to support our lads who have worked so hard this year. We wish them well and we would also like to welcome everyone back to the club after for light refreshments and heavy debate!!!!
U21 Hurlers advance to North Cork Semi Final spot..
A much more polished Mallow side dismantled the challenge of Bally Rovers, with ease, last Sunday evening in glorious sunshine in Round 2 of the North Cork Championship. Mallow really dominated all over the field with very fine displays from Ronan Mills, the seventeen year olds Daragh Moynihan and Paul Lyons, also Pa Healy, Sean Hayes, Aaron Sheehan and Alec Luttrell who all put in a great evenings work. But all in all this was a fantastic team display and all twenty of the panel are worthy of a mention. Mallow will now go into an open draw with the likes of Charleville, Fermoy, and Shandrum for the Semi final pairings, so we will watch with interest. However this fine Mallow team will and should prove very difficult to handle for any team they confront and deserve to advance to the County stages, hopefully. We wish them well.. The final score was Mallow 3-20 Bally Rovers 1-12..
