Well done and congratulations to Katie Buckley and the Cork Senior Camogie squad who overcame Galway last Saturday in Nowlan Park, Kilkenny. The final score was Cork 3-10 Galway 0-12 They now meet Wexford at headquarters in the All Ireland final on the 16th September and we wish all involved the very best of luck.. Katie will hope to join our previous All Ireland Camogie medal winner Michelle Browne in the annals of the clubs history….

Its another busy week for the club, this week, with the Juvenile club taking precedence after our Intermediate Footballers and U-21 Hurlers coming out on top after playing challenge games last week. There is a double header in CIT on Saturday 25th August the first game is the U-14 Football Championship Mallow V Nemo Rangers at 230pm then its the turn of the clubs talented Minor Footballers who take on Valley Rovers. Both promise to be thrillingencounters so we hope you can all make both!!!!

Next week see’s our  Intermediate footballers back in action after nearly four months since they played Carrigaline in the first round. Aside from some injury worries and the emigration of some players preparation has been going fairly well and Manager Dan O’Keeffe is hoping his charges will be finely tuned for their fourth round outing against the Bantry Blues. At the moment the game is fixed for Macroom next Saturday 1st September at 6pm.

Our U 21 Hurlers now have a date for their North Cork Semi Final tie. They play Fermoy onTuesday 4th September at 730pm in Kildorrery.

The Eugene Carey Under 17 Inter county Hurling tournament returns again this year on Saturday September 1st with no less than 7 intercounty teams competing on the day. The first of the games are to be played at 10:30am with the final then scheduled to for 4:30pm. Food and beverages will be served in the Eugene Carey bar all day long so please come and enjoy what has turned out to be a fantastic day

There is a SHC replay fixed for Carrigoon this Saturday 25th August where Newtown and Na Piarsaigh meet again. It promises to be a great match and thrown in is at 6pm. Extra time to be played if needed..
