Our Under 21 footballers won with ease last Saturday in Buttevant in the first round of the Championship… The final score was Mallow 1-21 Charleville 1-04.
On the Sunday the Intermediate Footballers were unlucky again and will have to wait until they meet Castletownbere on the 25th to pick up some points.. The full time score in Adrigole was Mallow 1-8 Adrigole 0-12.. The footballers play Fr Casey’s next Tuesday in a challenge game in Carrigoon at 8pm…
The Mallow Junior Footballers jump back into action this week in their third game in the Division 1 Avondhu/Imokilly league. They face Cobh this Saturday 10th March at 330pm in Cobh.

Then its over to the Intermediate Hurlers and after a few hard challenge games in the last few weeks showing great grit and determination finally kick-start their League campaign. The face Kanturk this Sunday at 12 noon in the club. I can’t stress enough how important it is to support all games but especially home games. It shows the team playing we are interested in them and it shows outside teams visiting that we care about our club and its teams who have committed themselves to intense training schedules, over the last few months, for the benefit of the club.Your club!!!!!
On St Patrick’s day this year 17th Mallow GAA are holding a very special social night as a fundraiser for training equipment for our Intermediate Hurling and Football teams. Tickets are an incredible €10 which includes finger food and music by Frank Fitzpatrick and friends. This will be a great night and for a worthy cause and where else would you be on St Patricks day but in the home of our National sport.. Tickets can be got from reception!!! See you all there…

Congratulations to our President Sean Cooney who received a Hall of fame award last Friday at the Mallow sports and leisure awards. A testament to his commitment to Mallow GAA and Mallow town as a whole and a true gentleman to boot!
