Good news all round for adult hurling this week the first of which was the Junior A Hurling championship and a great win beating Shanballymore’s first team 1-15 – 1-11….

The Intermediate Hurlers also kept to their winning ways defeating Milford in a league game last Sunday. The final score was Mallow 4-13 Milford 1-17. The hurlers now play a challenge game this Sunday(Challenge) away to Kilbrittain ahead of Championship on Sunday 27th May against Ballinhassig in Pairc Ui Rinn at 6pm…

10th Aug. v’s Kilbrittan/Timoleague…

31st.Aug. v’s Eire Og….

Venues to be decided, please support these girls its amazing what they have achieved reaching Senior status and its such a pity their matches are so poorly supported by the club!!!!

Best of luck to our dual star Denis Hayes who is leaving for Edinburgh this week to start a new career. We bid him farewell and all the best and he will be sorely missed from his club!!!

Minors Double Victory

This year’s Non Exam Minor leagues kicked off this week and we had two victories in our opening fixtures. On a wet and windy Wednesday evening in Glanmire our Footballers had an excellent victory over the home side on a score of 3-12 to 3-7.The following Saturday the Hurlers travelled to Blarney and returned to Mallow with victory secured on a score line of 3-20 to 1-8 well done to all involved.
———————————————————————————————–U13 Premier Hurling
Mallow 1-12
Midleton 3-10

Our hurlers put up a brave performance when going under to a physically stronger Midleton in Carrigoon on Saturday last. In what was a closely contested game the concession of late goals was the main difference between the sides

———————————————————————————————–
U12 Football – Mallow 1-3 Bishopstown 3- 9, Mallow 1-7 Bshopstown 3-7, Mallow 2-7 Blarney 1-0 Mallow 4-7 Blarney 0-2. Mallow u 12 played Bishopstown on Sunday morning last in Bishopstown 21 players travelled we had two very hard games with no subs they had to dig deep to give account of themselves but it wasn’t enough in the end we lost both games but some good lessons were learnt. On Monday night the 14th we played Blarney at home there was good turnout of player 30 in total. the lads on both teams got off to great starts scoring goals very early the lads where well on top for both games with some great points kicked on a windy night well done to all thanks to the parents who turned out to support .

Modern Homes Exhibitions Ireland Ltd, is one of Ireland’s leading exhibition organisers. With over 20 years experience, Tom Murphy, the organiser, has a significant track record with over 180 shows to his credit. He is highly regarded in the home exhibition industry and has the added advantage of understanding the local people. The combination of business acumen and local knowledge always guarantees a successful show. He offers companies the ideal direct marketing opportunities to enhance and grow their business on an annual basis. These introductions prove to be very lucrative for these businesses and many reported generating new customers from outside their normal geographic areas.

Exhibitions represent one of the most cost-effective ways to bring together buyers and sellers in a face-to-face environment that generates results. They are not just a marketing tool; they are your entire marketplace at your fingertips and the business comes to you. The leads generated at exhibitions will expand your business, as it is a fact that a large number of exhibition visitors arrive with an agenda. They come looking for new products, services, new ideas, designs and advice for building a new home, adding an extension or improving their existing house. Now is the time to plan ahead by showing your full product range in real life, raise your profile in the industry and add value to your brands. It is not just the big stores that people visit anymore, they want to see a wide choice of home related products and services to improve their home and exhibitions are the perfect shopfront to meet a large volume of people under one roof. It is probably the only way that you can gain direct contact with upwards of twenty to thirty thousand people for a minimum outlay.

The advertising campaign put together for each show is enormous and incorporates all possible media channels available. The campaigns include

Road signs on all major routes entering the exhibition town / city.

Advertising boards on all major routes covering a 40-mile radius.

Advertising on all local newspapers including an exhibition feature the week of the show.

Local radio advertising

The range of exhibits that take part in the Modern Homes Exhibitions for the house, home and garden range from Architects, Insulated Concrete Building Systems, Builder Providers, Timber Frame Homes, Conservatories, Windows, Doors, Gutters, Fascia, Roof Tiles, Garage Doors, Waste Water Treatment, Insulation, Under Floor Heating, Heat Pumps, Landscaping, Hot Tubs, Saunas, Garden Sheds, Garden Furniture, Paving, Decking, Fencing, Automatic Gates, Lawnmowers, Garden Ornaments, Interior Designers, Kitchens, Furniture, Leather Furniture, Granite Products, Bathrooms, Showers, PVC Wall Panelling, Bedroom Furniture, Fireplaces, Pellet Stoves, Timber Flooring, Built In Hoover Systems, Doors, Staircases, Conservatory Blinds, Conservatory Furniture, Massage Chairs, Curtains, Blinds, Kitchen Waste Disposal, Water Purification, Solar Products, Mortgages, Insurance, Auctioneers, Security Systems, Attic Stairs, Electrical Goods, Overseas Property and lots more.
Minor Hurling – 5 Goal Hayes Seals Victory
Mallow 5-12
Midleton 3-14

Full Forward Sean Hayes was the difference between these two evenly matched sides in the Premier minor Hurling League played in Carrigoon on Monday night .Right from the start the impressive Hayes led the charge and had four goals bagged by half time at which Mallow led by a point. The second half was nip and tuck and victory was secured when Hayes struck for number 5 late on. This was a good victory as the team lined out minus our Cork Minors who face Clare on Thursday Night an also we have a number of injuries. Team Ryan Harkin, Alec Luttrell, Padraig Buckley, Jack Murphy, John Cosgrave, Pa Healy, Fionn Moynihan, Scott Walmsley, Padraig Buckley, Callan Clifford, Pa Herlihy, David Sheahan, Pierce O Riordan, Sean Hayes, Billy Hayes. Subs: Jack Downes for Callan Clifford, Michael O Rourke for Billy Hayes.
———————————————————————————————–

U14 Hurling –
Mallow 2-12
DOUGLAS 3-11

When these two teams met in the U14 Feile earlier in the year the city side came out on top by a margin of two points and the outcome was the same in this premier league match played in Carrigoon on Saturday. In a most entertaining game mallow led by 4 points at half time despite a slow start. Douglas fought back well in the second half but were still a point in arrears with time almost up .Mallow lost possession and were punished when after an interception we conceded a late goal .This was an encouraging performance and we can look forward to the rest of the summer. Best on the day were Kerian Hayes ,Matthew Mc Glynn,Micheal Healy,Kenneth Mills,Eoin Murphy and the outstanding Paul Lyons.Team Kerian Hayes,Rory Ganley Matthew Mc Glynn,Tadgh O Neill,Oisin Moynihan Darragh Moynihan Micheal Healy,Eoin Murphy Paul Lyons Jack Sheehan Conor O Flynn,Kenneth Mills,Robbie walsh John Connoughton,Ben Slattery.

———————————————————————————————–U12 – Mallow 5 3 Na Pairsiagh 2 9 , Mallow 1 1 Na Piarsaigh 5 7 . Mallow U12 hurlers played Na Piarsaigh away on Tuesday evening last, the lads where on form where they gave a great display of skill and stood up to the challange of playing a very good side. the winning team took some very good scores and defended well .the lads who lost were very unlucky a few soft goals didnt help but they battled on and held their own in the end .well done to all the hard work at training is paying off keep up the hard work Football Training continues from 6.30 – 7.30 on Monday’s and Hurling Training is on Wednesday’s from 7-8 and on Saturday’s from 12-1.
U12s Play In Semple Stadium.

While things did not go well for the Cork Senior Hurlers the Mallow U12 Hurlers gave a much better account of themselves when they played a Kilkenny side at half time in Last Sundays League Final. In what was a great experience for the boys it is hoped it will not be the last time some members of the team will play in this famous venue. The club would like to thank Coiste Na Nog for last Sundays opportunity.

U10 Hurling – Training continues this Thursday night, we have our next league matches this weekend with two matches in Caherlag against Erins Own and Aghada @ 3pm, all players to meet in Carrigoon @ 1.30pm sharp.
———————————————————————————————–
U7, U8 and U9 – Training for all these age groups continues every Monday and Thursday night 6.30-7.30pm. Last Thursday night our U8 football team had their first match of the year against Glenville, all players involved played well on the night and the support of family and friends was very much appreciated.

Congratulations to Killian O Connor who played full back with the Cork Minor hurlers last Sat evening, it was great to see this team back to winning ways and they meet Clare in next round this Thursday evening. Well done also to the Mallow Intermediate footballers who defeated Carrigaline in the Championship last Sunday evening in Fermoy.
