Mallow GAA

Thanks to our proud Football Sponsors Maureen’s Pub for their support of Mallow GAA..

Our Intermediate Footballers got off too a great start last week overcoming the challenge of Muskerry club Ballinora in the Premier Intermediate football Championship despite a sluggish and nervy start Mallow were never under too much duress.. Despite an early lead from Ballinora, the lads settled in nicely with some fine points from Cian O’ Riordan(2), Pa Herlihy, Colin Stanton, Ryan Harkin and Aaron
Sheehan. Keiran O Sullivan
scored a spectacular goal receiving the ball about 40 meters running through beating four defenders with a fantastic finish to leave the half time score 1-6 to 0-4.. Ballinora failed to find a score in the second half with Mallow driving on with a brace of scores from the left legs of Harkin(2), James Loughrey and O’ Riordan(2) and the other
from the right leg of Aaron Sheehan leave the full time score at Mallow 1-12 Ballinora 0-4 and a place in the 4th Round..
There will be tougher tests ahead, no doubt, but this was a very good
team performance,
