We are delighted to announce that our President Sean Cooney is to receive this years Mallow Sports and Leisure Hall of Fame. Well deserved Sean after a lifetimes labour for the club amongst your many other labors for your town.Hurl Dockry will be nominated by the club to receive a Sports and Leisure award after his part in Cork Junior Football All Ireland win last year.. Well done to ye both!!

Last Sat 4th our Footballers gave a great account of themselves in the Tom Creedon Cup football league Semi-Final with a hard earned win over Carrigaline. They trailed by five points at one stage against a gale force wind but  prevailed and and they came away with a one point victory. The final score was Mallow 1-6 Carrigaline 0-8. Mallow now face Macroom in the Semi-Final this Monday 13th February at 815pm in Carrigoon.. Support would be very much appreciated… Tonight Wed 8th the Footballers and captain Cian O’Riordan are to receive the Tom Brennan Cup after defeating Fermoy earlier this year if you are around come up to the club around 730pm..

Next week also sees the Mallow Junior Footballers kick off their Avondhu/Imokilly League campaign and they face Glanmire in Glanmire at 3pm on Saturday 18th February. The Junior Footballers are to be managed by Barry John Ryan, Derek Madden and Terry O’Brien and we would like to wish them all the best for the year…

St Mary’s Juvenile club are holding their Church Gate collection this Saturday and Sunday in town and any support would be fantastic and go straight back into the development of our future players in the club…

The Club have also now organized their first Table Quiz for 2012 which is to be held in the Club House on March 15th at 830pm. So get a few friend, family or work colleagues together and join in.. A table of four is €40 or €10 per person…

There is an Under-21 Football Challenge between Cork and Dublin on Saturday in Carrigoon at 3pm for anyone interested!!!

Mallow GAA would like to wish the very best to Charleville in their All- Ireland Junior Hurling title hopes on Saturday V St Patricks Ballyragget of Kilkenny at 530pm in Croke Park..
